LITS Library & Information Technology Services
The Mitchell College Library supports the information, instruction, research, and study needs of the college community by providing print, electronic, and video material and instructional programs. The Mitchell College Library belongs to a consortium (LION) of 23 libraries in the immediate region, including some of the finest public libraries in Connecticut.
The library staff is here to provide reference and instructional services to support the Mitchell College and University of New Haven Southeastern Branch academic programs. All Mitchell College and University of New Haven full-time and part-time students, faculty, and staff may use the facilities and the materials of the library. The upper (main) level of the library is the reference area and contains the Reference, Graduate Institute, and New Acquisition collections. The lower level contains the circulating book collection, group study areas, and listening and viewing areas.
Students, staff, and faculty have access to six comprehensive online databases on-campus and through remote access. All academic disciplines are represented. The available databases are:

- Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
- Sports Business Research Network (SBRnet)
- World History FullTEXT
Throughout the semester instructional programs take place in the library. Workshops are planned at the beginning of each semester to help students, staff, and faculty become familiar with available resources and better researchers of those resources. Additionally, many professors bring their classes in for Library Instruction. Individual sessions may be arranged with the Reference & Instructional Services Librarian at any time.
